CHARLOTTE – StarMed will continue offering drive-thru COVID-19 vaccinations in Bojangles Coliseum's parking lot through the end of June due to ongoing demand, according to Mecklenburg County.
The clinic will be open for appointments and walk-ins at the dates and times below:
• Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The Bojangles Coliseum clinic will be closed May 26 and June 1 to 5.
Individuals who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination at Bojangles Coliseum will continue to get clear information from StarMed about options for second doses, including alternatives for dates when the Bojangles Coliseum clinic is closed.
“We are proud of the role that Bojangles has had in the county’s COVID-19 vaccine response and continue to support StarMed’s efforts to equitably deliver vaccine in the county,” said Dr. Meg Sullivan, medical director of Mecklenburg County Public Health.
In addition to the StarMed vaccine clinic at Bojangles Coliseum, Mecklenburg County Public Health is offering COVID-19 vaccinations at its northwest and southeast locations beginning the week of May 24 as follows:
• Northwest Health Department (2845 Beatties Ford Road), Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Southeast Health Department (249 Billingsley Road), Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4p.m.
Appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
Mecklenburg County Public Health encourages parents to schedule appointments for their children’s routine immunizations. The COVID-19 vaccine will also be offered to eligible individuals and family members at these appointments.
