Here we go again with Ruth Samuelson being on the wrong side of an issue. In typical Republican fashion she builds up fear for an issue that is virtually non-existent to build support for her bigoted views. "Voter" fraud, which coordinated on a large scale to turn an election is logistically impossible, fails to mention the larger issue of "election" fraud which is much easier to pull off. I hope all residents will accept Samuelson's article for the partisan propaganda that it is and take the time to research these issues independently. The fact remains, Voter ID laws do not make elections more "fair", they do the exact opposite. They disenfranchise the poor, the elderly, and minorities, all of whom are adversely affected by Samuelson's policies and in turn are less likely to vote for her. If she keeps them from being able to vote, she helps her and her fellow Tea Party Republicans, keep away voters from the polls who aren't going to vote for them.
Seriously think about what she is asking for...she wants to make it harder for people to vote while doing nothing to advocate for the protection of those votes after they are cast. Please realize the political play this is and do not be lured in by her half-truths and smoke and mirror politics.
