The Ballantyne Barracudas swim team helped kick off this year’s Ballantyne Country Club Rally in a good way. The team held a snow cone fundraiser at their swim meet June 25 against Sardis Swim and Racquet Club, and followed that up with a cotton candy sale on June 28 at their meet against Somerset Swim Club. In all, the team raised $1,000 for the group, which works with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in fighting breast cancer. Along with donating to the cause, swimmers wore pink swim caps to show their support for breast cancer patients and survivors. More events for the cause will be held in September.
