More than 200 teens with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Charlotte area came together recently for a number of volunteer efforts around the city.

The three-day conference, from July 19 to 21, allowed youth to get out to different groups in the community for projects. Those projects included making sandwiches at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte and Crisis Assistance Ministry, writing letters to deployed military personnel and doing landscaping at some Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation locations.
