The BCC Rally, an all-volunteer nonprofit in Ballantyne that raises awareness of and money to fight breast cancer, will end this year’s week of fundraising events with a special guest.
Nancy Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will speak at the group’s Pink Bow Gala on Sept. 29 at Ballantyne Country Club. She’ll discuss her sister, Susan G. Komen, and the promise Brinker made to her to fight breast cancer.
That event wraps up a week of events that start Sept. 23 with the Pink Fall Fair, a local festival-type family affair. Then there’s two golf tournaments, a tennis luncheon and the gala.
People can start buying tickets for the events on Aug. 1 at www.bccrally.org. BCC Rally routinely is one of the top fundraisers for Susan G. Komen for the Cure each year.
