Someone brought an unloaded gun to South Mecklenburg High School last week when picking up a student after school.
A school administrator walked up to the car April 26 after smelling pot, according to a news release from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. When the administrator got to the car, he saw a gun tucked into the waistband of the car’s passenger and called the school resource officer.
The gun wasn’t loaded, and nobody was hurt. The passenger was charged for bringing a gun onto campus.
