EBT cards now accepted at area farmers markets

Thanks to a partnership between the Mecklenburg County Health Department and North Carolina’s 21st Century Farmers’ Markets program, people can now use their SNAP/EBT cards at a number of farmers markets in the area.

The cards, formerly the food stamp program, can be used at the Atherton Market at Atherton Mill, 2104 South Blvd., at the Davidson Farmers Market and at Black Women’s Health Network Mobile Markets at six area churches – Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1st Baptist Church West, Greenville Memorial AME Zion, Smallwood Presbyterian, 15th Street Church of God and New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
