Getting funky in south Charlotte

Children and their families packed The Fountains over the weekend for the inaugural Funk Fest, hosted by Funky Town Parties. The event included live DJs, dance troupes and performers, as well as activity booths with air-brush t-shirts, games and more. Donations for Bright Blessings were collected at the event. Organizers say there were at least 700 people in attendence.
