Endhaven Elementary School was announced as one of two winners in the Charlotte Checkers technology upgrade contest.
Endhaven, along with Cornelius Elementary, was awarded $5,000 in technology upgrades. The prize includes $2,500 from the Charlotte Checkers Charitable Foundation and $2,500 worth of products and software donated by Microsoft, such as Kinect for Windows, Xbox 360 with Kinect, Visual Studio Pro, Windows 7 and Office.
People voted for schools on the Checker’s Facebook fan page. There were 22 schools competing, and more than 12,000 votes were cast over a two-week period.
