Students at Providence Spring conduct Operation Sandwich

Fourth-graders from Providence Spring Elementary participated in the Operation Sandwich service project last week, May 21 through 27, for the Urban Ministry Center in uptown Charlotte.

Students assembled sandwiches daily and packed them along with fruit, chips and homemade cookies in paper lunch bags decorated with inspirational messages, which were then transported to the center by parent volunteers. By the end of the week, students will have made 3,500 sandwiches, providing full lunches for 1,750 people in need.
