Charlotte Latin students ­recognized by Duke TIP

Sixteen students from Charlotte Latin School recently qualified for recognition in the 2011-12 Duke University Talent Identification Program’s 7th Grade Talent Search based on their exceptional scores on the SAT or ACT.

More than 77,000 seventh-graders nationwide participated in the program this year, and 35 percent of them were invited to state recognition ceremonies. Around 3 percent were invited to the grand recognition ceremony at Duke University on May 21. The grand recognition ceremony will honor participants who earned scores equal to or better than 90 percent of college-bound seniors who took the same tests.

The following Charlotte Latin students received recognition.
