Quail Hollow future problem solvers place in state

Two Quail Hollow Middle School teams recently placed in the North Carolina Future Problem Solving State Bowl Competition in Banner Elk, April 20 and 21.

In the junior division, one team of sixth-graders including Luke Davis, Abigail Giles, Rylee Foster and Madison Mryzgod placed first in the Action Plan Presentations and second in the Global Problem Solving Booklet Competition.

In the middle division, Quail Hollow’s team of seventh-graders including Arika Andrews, Samantha Dukes, Michael Hudson and Jimmy Watkins placed second in the Action Plan Presentations.

Students were selected for the state bowl competition by invitation only, based on their performance completing the qualifying problem booklet competition in February. In South Charlotte, students from Quail Hollow Middle, as well as Smithfield Elementary were selected to attend.
