Charlotte Christian student performs at Carnegie Hall

Charlotte Christian School senior Shelley Leazer performed Feb. 12 at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of the 2012 American High School Honors Performance Series.

Shelley, who was selected as one of the highest-rated high school performers in North America, performed in the Honors Choir as a soprano 1.

Kelly Goley, director of music at Charlotte Christian, nominated Shelley. After an audition and review process, Shelley was named a finalist and was able to join other students from across the United States and Canada in New York City for a five-day workshop.

Shelley is the second Charlotte Christian student to be selected for the Honors Performance Series.
