Classroom Central, an organization that provides students in need with basic school supplies through a free store for teachers, is struggling to keep up with increased demand.
The organization currently has less than a three-week supply of pencils and notebook paper and less than a one-week supply of pens.
Donations can be dropped off at Classroom Central, 2116 Wilkinson Blvd.; Independence Mitsubishi, 7036 E. Independence Blvd.; Subaru South Blvd, 9201 South Blvd.; and Subaru Concord, 853 Concord Pkwy. South.
Donors also can go online to www.classroomcentral.org and make an online contribution designated to “supply drive.”
Each week, Classroom Central distributes approximately 39,000 pens, 32,000 pencils and 2,700 packs of notebook paper to teachers at 166 schools.
