Crews on Friday installed Jeff Thomas’ work “I Am/We Are” on the Design Center of the Carolinas water tower in Historic South End.
Thomas’ art was picked in a recent contest that saw 36 total entries. More than 17,000 people voted in the contest.
The work will grace the 125-foot-tall water tower for one year. Along with the visibility of his work, Thomas gets a $1,000 award and a donation of $5,000 in classroom supplies was made to Billingsville Elementary School.
