The Mint Museum Uptown will host Madeleine Albright, former secretary of state to President Bill Clinton, in July.
Albright will discuss the museum’s pin collection and comment on how she, as the first female secretary of state in the United States, was able to use the “expressive power of jewelry to convey her diplomatic messages,” according to a news release from the museum.
Tickets are now on sale for the July 14 event. The discussion is at 1 p.m., followed by a book signing at 2 p.m. Find more information and purchase tickets at the museum’s website, www.mintmuseum.org, or call 704-337-2000.
The Mint Museum Uptown is located at 500 S. Tryon St.
