Museum hosts documentary honoring ex-POWs

The Armed Forces Museum & Archives of the Carolinas is helping show a documentary this weekend honoring former prisoners of war.

“Honoring Our World War II Heroes – The American POW Experience” is a 30-minute documentary about what it was like for prisoners of war. The film is showing in three locations, one of which is the Morrison Regional Library, 7015 Morrison Blvd. The documentary shows on Saturday, May 26, at 3 p.m. at the library, and also Wednesday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at the South Charlotte Banquet Center, 9009 Bryant Farms Road.

People also can see the documentary Saturday at the Mint Hill Historical Society’s Ashcraft Schoolhouse, 7601 Matthews-Mint Hill Road.

All showings are free.
