The Charlotte Symphony will play host to the world premiere of a digitally animated work of art by Matthew Weinstein at the May 4 KnightSounds performance.
Weinstein’s commissioned piece is a 16-minute original animated video to be displayed on a screen suspended above the orchestra. The audience will watch the animation in sync with the music of Ravel’s “Bolero.” This is the first commissioned work under the leadership of Music Director Christopher Warren-Green.
There are a number of events associated with the concert’s premiere. Find more information and purchase tickets at the symphony’s website, www.charlottesymphony.org.
