The Charlotte Fine Art Gallery is getting ready to celebrate Earth Day with a month-long exhibit.
“Eco-Art” features four North Carolina artists: sculptors Dean Johns and Jamie Keller, mixed media painter Destry Sparks and ceramic mixed media artist Julius Pratt. The exhibit features all four artists’ works in a group show that highlights their talent and ability to “reclaim, reuse and recycle” materials in order to create one-of-a-kind works of fine art. The exhibit opens April 3 and closes April 28. A special reception for the exhibit is scheduled for April 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Charlotte Fine Art Gallery also has a couple workshops coming up, including Escape to Comics Island, a teen seminar on Picasso and Girls’ Night Out, held the third Friday of every month. Find more information on the workshops at the gallery’s website, www.charlottefineart.com.
The Charlotte Fine Art Gallery is located at 7510 Pineville-Matthews Road.
