Raymond Felton Basketball Camp
The first week of August, basketball players short and tall, ages 7 to 18, converged on Ardrey Kell High School for the Raymond Felton Basketball Camp. They received hours of individual instruction, running drills and playing games with Charlotte Bobcats guard Raymond Felton and guest collegiate coaches.
Each afternoon, the session ended with a Q-and-A with the campers. When asked how he got to the point in his career he is today, Felton answered that growing up, he was always on the courts shooting hoops. (After he had completed his homework, that is.) He was smitten with the sport, with no time to be planted in front of the television playing video games.
On the last day of camp, the young players departed with smiles, toting new basketballs, T-shirts and other goodies.
